Aquafanatics mission is to develop strong, confident and proficient swimmers in a fun, safe, family orientated environment.

Mini Squad

Mini Squad is the first training group after the learn to swim levels. This group is targeted at a “stroke development” focus with swimmers in the group consisting predominantly of 7 to 10-year-old children. They will learn how to refine their stroke techniques developed in the learn-to-swim program, and fine tune their racing skills (starts, turns & finishes). They will be introduced to lap swimming and training etiquette.

Sessions will emphasise training etiquette, stroke development and coordination.

1 session of 45minutes per week / Term payment (Non-Aquinas $200 / Aquinas $180)

junior Squad

Junior squad is a group targeted at a “stroke development” focus with swimmers in the group consisting predominantly of 8 to 12-year-old children. This group will attend competitions, but training will centre around technique and skill development for all strokes and racing skills. The group will continue to learn training etiquette and what is expected of them to reach their potential.

Sessions will emphasise technique development, stroke length and coordination.

2 sessions per week / Monthly payment (Non-Aquinas $100 / Aquinas $90 per month)

Development Squad

Development Squad is a group that is targeted at a “learn to train” focus with swimmers in the group consisting predominantly of 9 to 13-year-old children. This group will attend competitions, however, training will continue to centre around technique and skill development that will enhance the swimmer’s capacity to train with intensity over increasing volumes.

Sessions will emphasise aerobic development, stroke length and coordination.

3 sessions per week / Monthly payment (Non-Aquinas $120 / Aquinas $100 per month)

Advanced Squad

Advanced squad is a group that is targeted at a ”train to train” and “train to compete” focus with swimmers in the group consisting predominantly of swimmers aged 13 years +. This group continues to centre around refining technique and racing skills, while introducing timed repeats on a greater scale and with increased intensity. Medley swimming; i.e. training all four strokes, will be front and centre in this group. This group is encouraged to compete in all events over all distances.

Sessions will emphasise aerobic development, stroke length and coordination, but increasing the amount of short rest and broken race pace swims.

4 sessions per week / Monthly payment (Non-Aquinas $140 / Aquinas $120 per month)

PERFORMANCE Squad

Performance squad is a group that is targeted at a “train to compete” and an “elite athlete” focus with swimmers in the group consisting predominantly of swimmers aged 13 years to open athletes. Swimmers are to attend all designated competitions, with training centred around refining fitness requirements and skills for racing. Weekly training sets will reflect periodised requirements for preparation for major competitions and individual athlete needs. Medley training will still be prominent but stroke and event-specific work for individual athletes will be common place.

Sessions will be coordinated to maximise all physiological requirements, delivered in an individualised manner.

6 sessions per week / Monthly payment (Non-Aquinas $160 / Aquinas $140 per month)
